Kids For Kids is a project that aims to solve the problem of integration of children with disabilities using a tool called sports. Nowadays, sport is one of the important tools for a balanced upbringing of children. Through sports, children acquire norms and values of behavior in society. Unfortunately, children with developmental difficulties cannot easily join local sports clubs and associations because they do not offer programs for this type of population for the main reason being ignorance and incompetence. In this project we solve this type of problem. Seven-day synergy camp is one of main goals. The camp will be attended by children with disabilities and children with normal abilities in synergy to complement each other. Professional people with experience in working with this population through the camp will educate 10 new coaches who come from partner organizations. Through education, coaches will gain knowledge and competence to design program tasks tailored to populations, conduct sports and games in an interesting and safe way, and lead the entire process. Clubs and organizations that are partners in the project will transfer experience and knowledge to their clubs and through the project create their own small synergy camps and implement children with disabilities in into their own local sports community. The project will test the program content and monitor the physical and emotional behavior of children, and will create an electronic manual that will describe the specifics of working with children of normal abilities and children with disabilities in synergy. With such a manual left as a legacy to the European community, the project will encourage other clubs to encourage and try to open the doors of their sports clubs and associations to children with disabilities.
